Jain Vishva Bharati Institute has launched a Bachelor of Education programme recognized by NCTE. The first session begins from July 2005. The programme designed to suit candidates from all over India places specific emphasis on meditation as a tool to enhance learning skills and I.Q. This programme is also the first national teachers training programme to offer study in Education for Sustainable Development. Innovative syllabus and enthusiastic faculty work towards not only training the teachers but also assisting them with campus recruitment. Jain Vishva Bharati Institute is looking forward to train a new class of future generation teachers. 
 
Introduction : Enlightened, emancipated and empowered teachers lead communities and nation towards better and higher quality of life. Teachers are expected to create social cohesion, national integration and learning society. They disseminate knowledge and also generate new knowledge therefore, it becomes essential for any nation to give necessary professional inputs to its teachers. Jain Vishva Bharti Institute (Deemed University) pursues the curriculum for its pre-service teacher training programme for women candidates who are far behind but can lead the whole nation. This will be a special programme focussed with a strong foundation in Science of Living. The candidates are encouraged to flourish an environment that promotes value and technology based society.

Objectives of the course :
  • to help the prospective teachers to develop competence to teach subjects of their specialization on the basis of an adequate theory of learning and a sound knowledge of the subjects.
  • to promote an awareness of the role of the school and the teacher to promote SOL, values and Preksha Meditation for sound health.
  • to develop and understanding of the close relationship between society and the school, between life and school work.
  • to buildup professional consciousness.
  • to develop the ability and self confidence of prospective teachers to be conscious of a sense of values and need for their inculcation among students.
Learning Outcomes :
  • Competence to teach effectively two school subjects at the secondary level.
  • Ability to understand pupil’s needs, motives, values, growth pattern and process of learning to stimulate learning and creative thinking to foster growth and development.
  • Ability to use individualized instruction and dynamic methods at large.
  • Develop certain practical skills such as :
    1. Black board work.
    2. Preparing improvised apparatus.
    3. Preparing teaching aids & models.
